EcoGlow Brooders
600 and 1200
Our EcoGlow chick brooders have been redesigned to be even safer, more economical and easier to clean. These highly efficient low-cost brooders are ideal for keeping newly hatched chicken, game and waterfowl warm. They are available in 2 sizes: the EcoGlow Safety 600 suitable for up to 20 chicks and the EcoGlow Safety 1200 for up to 35 chicks. These radiant heaters are far more efficient than conventional suspended heat lamps or mains voltage chicken heating plates, as well as being much safer since they run from a 12 volt transformer.
The EcoGlow are not a light source so you won’t have to worry about your chicks’ sleeping habits and the brooder panel height can be adjusted to match chicks of different sizes from quail to goose. You can also adjust the legs so that one end is higher than the other, if desired.
Radiant Heat
Artificial radiant heat uses electromagnetic waves that are invisible to the naked eye. These waves effectively transfer heat from one object to another, and they don’t warm the air as they pass through it.
Contact brooding is a more natural way of raising chicks. Chicks can safely touch the underside of a radiant heat source, much like how they would nestle up against a mother hen’s warm belly.

With hygiene a top priority all EcoGlow chick brooders are made of durable hygienic ABS plastics. With the purchase of an EcoGlow 600 or 1200 you will also receive a free clear cover. The covers easily fit over the brooder plate and make cleaning quick and simple. Replacement covers supplied in packs of 3 are also available.

The Heating Plate
Our brooders use a metal warming plate to even out hot and cold spots, which occur with plastic heat plates, and to improve heat radiation. The flared skirt design (featured on the 600 and 1200 models) retains more heat to further reduce energy use. The EcoGlows only use a fraction of the electricity of typical suspended heat lamps or mains voltage heating plates which is important when heating 24/7.
